To celebrate British Science and
Engineering Week students from all
year groups were treated to talks
from world leading academics and
subject specialists.

The guest speakers, assembled by
Mr O’Brien, gave lectures covering
the brain, flying machines, poisons
and the science of the paranormal.

Streamlining
Challenge

The Science, Technology, Engineering and
Mathematics (STEM) club enjoyed a trip to the
Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre at the
end of February to learn about aerodynamics,
design and engineering.

Hosted by Dr Jamie McGourlay of Rolls-Royce,
the group enjoyed a tour of the centre which
develops jet engines, nuclear energy production
and rocket-powered cars
